Hellen is the fifth born in the family of seven siblings. Her father died in 2016 when she was six years old and she was left under the care of her mother. Her mother struggles to raise her seven children whom she was left with by her husband.

The family lives in a three roomed house with iron sheet roofing. The family has access to safe and clean water. They fetch their water from a nearby community water spring and this water they use  for cooking and cleaning. The family totally lacks a proper toilet, the one that they use is dangerous. The child shares a bed with her mother and her other sister. She lacks bedding of her own.

The family has a very small piece of land which they use for farming. They use the little space left for a kitchen garden. Currently they have ploughed the garden in preparation for rainy seasons.

Hellen is at a safe and loving home. She actively attends the feeding program and enjoys most of the time she spends with her friends. Hellen is very active and loves playing with her friends as well as helping her mother out around the house.
