Samuel is the sixth-born child and has nine siblings. He is a triplet and all three of the brothers are enrolled with Nasio. Samuel’s father passed away in December 2024 leaving the family vulnerable. Samuel’s mother cares for all the children and has recently given birth to twins. It is a challenging time for the family and currently they have no source of income.

The family own a small piece of land where they cultivate vegetables and maize for food. However, the yields are limited, and food security remains a significant challenge. They live in a two roomed house which is in poor condition. The local water supply is not local which adds to the family’s difficulties.

At the moment the family also do not have access to reliable health care as they are not registered with medical insurance which makes seeing support very costly.

What sponsorship means

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.

We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
