About The Nasio Trust
The Nasio Trust is a registered charity based in the UK and Kenya that derives its inspiration and values from the Christian faith working and supporting individuals regardless of their beliefs or background.
From humble beginnings in a roadside shack, The Nasio Trust now currently runs two purpose-built Early Childhood Development Centres in western Kenya – Noah’s Ark and St Irene’s. The centres work with the local communities to provide education, meals, medical care and support to children in our care.
Our video ‘The Day in Life of a Nasio Child’ follows Ruth Matendechere a young girl in Kenya that benefits from support of our sponsors through The Nasio Trust. Watch Ruth’s story here:
We believe that children are better supported growing up in a family than in an institution isolated from their community. We therefore find Guardians for our orphans so they have a parent-figure and extended network in the community. Our Early Childhood Development Centres support the guardians by providing a daily meal, pre-primary education and medical care to almost 400 children.
With your support we are making a difference to the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya.
