Mohammed is the last born and has seven siblings. Both of his parents are farmers and they work hard to provide for the family but they struggle to provide for their children.

Some of Mohammed’s siblings have dropped out of school due to financial constraints and this has contributed to Mohammed starting school later than his peers. The family lives in a three-roomed mud house, which is frequently smeared to maintain its strength and appearance. The furnishings are in poor condition and Mohammed has no proper bedding.

The family is not registered under any social health insurance cover which means they struggle to afford healthcare when they are unwell.
