Centrine Muyonga Francis

  • Date of birth: 01/12/2018
  • Support needed: Up to £10.00 a month i

Centrine is from a family of eight children and has a twin sister, Cynthia Kangu Francis, who is also enrolled as a Nasio beneficiary and both attend St Irene’s ECDC. Two years ago her father went to Nakuru to look for a job, but since then he has never returned home and hardly helps his family. Therefore, the household depends on the mother to earn enough for a living and basic needs. Centrine’s mother struggles a lot as she only has casual jobs to feed the family. Most of the time they go without food as Centrine and her twin sister are malnourished.

Centrine sleeps in the same room as her twin, young sister and mother but they lack any bedding so sleep on old torn clothes.

Centrine doesn’t speak a lot and is very shy but she likes drawing pictures and colouring.

What sponsorship means

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.

We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
