  • Support needed: Up to £15.00 a month i

Fednat is a partial orphan and attends Milimani primary school. He lives with his paternal grandmother and his other two siblings, William and Magdalene. Magdalene is also being supported by Nasio Trust. Their grandmother struggles to feed their family. She remains the guardian to Fednat and his siblings because their mother is in a different town working as a house help. Every month she comes back to visit and check on her children.

The family live in a mud house with iron sheet roofing. They have access to latrine and bathroom.  The family has a farm and they sometimes harvest enough to last them through the next harvest. Currently with the dry season the family has just ploughed their farm and kitchen garden in preparation for the rains. They also keep a sheep and cow.

At school Fednat enjoys languages. He also enjoys art and drawing and running. The boy is a polite, calm and hardworking boy who the grandmother is very proud of.

What sponsorship means

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.

We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
