Lydia Ann Marsela

  • Date of birth: 06/02/2014
  • Support needed: None thank you! i

Lydia is the youngest of five children. Unfortunately her father passed away and  her mother is also sick. Nevertheless this doesn’t stop her mother from working as a small scale farmer to earn whatever she can in order to support her young children.

The family home is located 1 kilometre from St Irene’s and is a mud house with iron sheets. However her mother states she doesn’t feel safe there because of land disputes with Lydia’s grandfather.

The family draw their water from a nearby community water spring. During last year COVID feeding program Lydia actively attended the feeding program and she had a good time at the centre where she participated in various interactive activities. Lydia is a very active girl and loves spending time with her friends.

What sponsorship means

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.

We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
