Seline is the only child in her family. She was raised by her paternal grandmother after her mother abandoning her on a chair at her paternal grandmother’s house when she was three weeks old. Seline’s mother gave birth to her when she was in form one. Seline’s mother has remarried somewhere else and has never visited her daughter. Seline’s father relocated to another place and he rarely calls nor visits his home to check on the welfare of his child. He does not support the child in any form. Seline’s grandmother is old and depends on small scale farming to earn a living. The family practices subsistence farming where they grow vegetables, maize and beans during the rainy season Seline shares a bed with her paternal grandmother. The family lives in a three roomed mud house with an iron sheet roofing
