Shanisa is the last born in the family of six children. She has three brothers and two sisters. Shanisa lives with both her parents though she is from a vulnerable family. Her parents were not educated on the importance of family planning this now makes her parents struggle raising a family of six children.
Shanisa parents depend on casual jobs to support their family. They fetch water from a community water spring. The child comes from a family that loves and care for her.
Her mother owns a small piece of land where she plants her vegetables and sometimes plants maize and beans during the planting season.
The family lives in a two roomed mud house with iron sheet roofing.
