  • Support needed: Up to £15.00 a month i

Sharon was taken to a children’s home, along with her sister Terry, by a family friend because her mother was a drug addict and was not caring for the girls. Their father’s whereabouts is unknown. Terry is also supported by  The Nasio Trust.

Sharon and Terry have been in the orphanage since 2016 but luckily enough, they were rescued from the children’s home last year. They are now staying with their maternal uncle who has been visiting them in the orphanage. He wished to take them back home since 2016 but in vain. The children have now settled with the uncle and his wife in Kisumu.

At school Sharon enjoys art and languages .She also enjoys playing jump rope, hide and seek and singing. They are both jovial and sociable children who just need love and care.

What sponsorship means

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.

We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
